I asked Blake to take a photo of me to use on my website until I can get a 'real' headshot done. I was fixing the settings on the camera for him and took this test shot. He clearly didn't want his photo taken :)

On this day we celebrated the last day of my birthday week. Yes, I'm spoiled. We slept in, dropped the puppy of at Blake's parent's and headed to Cincinnati. We had a late lunch at Cheesecake Factory, then spent the rest of the afternoon shopping at an AMAZING mall. I got some fun stuff for the living room on sale at Pottery Barn, new linens for the kitchen at West Elm and new shoes and jewelry for me from Aldo! (The shoes gave me the worst blisters I've ever had in my life after only wearing them for 30 minutes.) We had a really fun day, and I can't believe we didn't take a single picture!!!

For some reason, I have been in a really crafty mood lately. Our kitchen table has officially been taken over!

Blake bought me some penguin napkins at Williams & Sonoma. As I was putting them away, I realized just how many napkins I already had! That's just crazy. The big pink stack on the right is leftover from our wedding almost 4 years ago. Ha!

There is a family birthday breakfast tradition of a poptart w/ a candle in it on your birthday. Blake had to be at work early on my birthday, so instead he brought me a cupcake at exactly midnight. (I guess this should technically be the photo for May 13 - oh well.)

As I was falling into bed I realized I hadn't taken a photo that day, so I used my phone and took a picture of the book on my nightstand. How boring :)

I got bored and made some magnets for our fridge out of vintage buttons. (And 2 giant fabric covered buttons.)

Nest of baby birds on our front porch. We tore the nest down twice (before there were eggs in it) but didn't get it down fast enough the last time. There is lots of bird poop on our front porch now :(

New entertainment center

In 2 days we had the living room painted, carpet cleaned and entertainment center delivered - that meant a lot of people in and out. Maggie was so confused for those few days!

Ashley took me to Epcot as an early birthday present. It was SO. MUCH. FUN! 

I got a birthday pin! 643 people told me happy birthday, one even said it in French!

It was some kind of Flower & Garden Expo, so all over the park were characters made out of flowers. It was so pretty!

I so wanted these glittery ears, but I couldn't bring myself to pay $18 for them...

After dinner, I got a free cupcake. Yum!

Did a session for some family friends that was quite different than my usual sessions. Definitely took me out of my comfort zone :)

I think a few posts back I made a new rule that the photo of the day can either be taken by me, or be OF me. So... Ashley took this with my cell phone to send to Blake. I had just gotten my "bangs" trimmed, even though you can't tell at all :) Haha.

Day 1 of my trip to Florida. Lunch with Ashley & Mom #2 at Cheesecake Factory. Yum! (Apparently I missed the sunglasses memo, and I also have really bad aim.)
